In connection with the Matching Steps performances in spring 2026, we offer a workshop inviting those who are curious to step into the world of the work.
The workshop is led by Carl Knif, artistic director of Carl Knif Company and choreographer of Matching Steps. During the workshop, we explore the methods used in the performance’s creation process. Through improvisational exercises and given material, participants approach the physical world of the work in a variety of ways.
The workshop is based on the method Breath – Gaze – Space, developed by Knif together with the group’s dancers. The exercises are designed to cultivate sensitivity and attentiveness between participants, as well as an open and present awareness of space.
The workshop is open to everyone and requires no prior experience.
