Directed and choreographed by Carl Knif, Aniara is a dance and theatre performance based on Harry Martinson’s classical epic poem, and a joint production by Skånes Dansteater and Moomsteatern.

In Aniara, the Earth is being destroyed by people’s way of life. Those who can now flee the planet on spaceships like Aniara, which travel back and forth to the refugees’ new home planet.
During one of these trips, something unexpected happens. Aniara collides with a smaller planet and starts to drift. What happens to the passengers and staff on Aniara? What do they feel? How do they try to save themselves? What do they wish for most of all?
