The Association of Finnish Theatres and the award jury has nominated Carl Knif Company as one of the finalists for the Theatre of the Year 2023 award.
The company was chosen because, according to the jury, it furthers the diversity of the performing arts field while being a model example of a choreographer-led group that has developed and upheld not only successful artistic work but also an open and confidential work environment that engages its members.
Other finalists include Oulun teatteri and Red Nose Company. The winner will be chosen by Juha Itkonen, and the award will be handed over at the Thalia gala in Helsinki on 27 March 2023.
