Carl Knif Company’s latest work, I address you, premieres on 25 April 2024 at Dance House Helsinki. I address you is a personal and societal solo that Carl Knif has created for himself.
In recent years, Knif has focused on directing and choreographing works that combine dance and physical theatre – now he returns to the stage with a piece that draws on his own personal experiences.
“It’s exciting to enter this new solo and its world. It’s been a long time since I last performed. The task of the choreographer and director is very different from that of the dancer; as a dancer, my task is to bring to life time and again what has been planned and built. I have been longing for this, to perform, to live in the moment, to have total focus and to meet the audience. I’m excited to experience all this soon“, says Knif.
